The incredibly talented singer/songwriter Andrew Schar from South Africa is now rocking Elevated Clothing! My brother, Zachary Block, used "Warrior Poet," by Andrew Schar in his feature film, "Fathoms Deep" and as a result we hooked up Andrew with a few shirts and a DVD.
It's a very cool thing to have someone as awesome as Andrew wearing our product. Of course, we have people as cool as him wearing it everyday, because we value all of our fans! But we checked out one of his youtube videos and sure enough, he must be loving the shirts because he seems to be wearing them frequently. We LOVE THAT!!
If you haven't had a chance to see Fathoms Deep yet, you can pick up a copy at the website http://www.fathomsdeepmovie.com It's been getting a lot of very quality reviews and is worth the purchase.
Thanks for your support Andrew!

SMASHBOX STUDIOS- Machi Block stars in The Exchange
This last week Smashbox Studios had their FACE OFF Competition featuring close to 100 works of art including photography and video. I was blessed to have starred in a film piece titled "The Exchange," shot by Anthony Pietromonaco which premiered at the FACE OFF Competition.
The Exchange is a very cool choreographed sword fight scene showcasing the differences and similarities between Eastern Japanese Sword Fighting and Western European Fencing. Because I was a Gold medal winning fencer in college at Montana State University, I was cast as the role of the European. Working closely with Anthony, we both choreographed the entire 3 piece fight scene and then cast the Asian fencer. It was my absolute pleasure to then work along side the very well known Yoshi Ando, bringing the choreographed sword fight up to speed and finesse. - "Letters from Iwo Jima," "The Pacific," "Good Soil," "War of the Wolves." http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2090377/
Here is the video of us sword fighting. It was an incredible effort, shot on two RED cameras in SmashBox Studios in Hollywood, and worked by an amazing cast. I'm very appreciative to have been a part of it, and hope that you enjoy it.

Brotherhood of Elevated
I've spent the last 2 weeks on and off in the studio recording the first song to be released by "The Brotherhood of Elevated." This is the name of my new group featuring your's truly, Machi Block, and my brother, Zachary Block.
The first song, "Mayday," is a collaboration with an incredible Poland based Music Producer/DJ, Kamil Dzyr. We're incredibly lucky and blessed to be working with this talented kid, and can't wait to show the world what we've got in the works. Not only that, but special thanks are due KT Kent for sound engineering the vocals and for her incredible talent at bringing out our best performances.
There will be many more songs to come after Mayday hits. This is simply the first of many that I have been writing, drawing influence from European jumpstyle, hip hop, rock, and some unique places that I would like to call original. Bands that you may notice we take our influence from? DJ Manian, Italio Brothers, Norlie & KKV, Lazee, Adam Tensta, Tinee Tempah, and Bad Fathers to name a few.
It's been a really fun process, and I will keep you updated when we're finished. Should be a couple more weeks for a December release. Stay Posted.

Elevated Clothing Takes Over The Streetwear Scene
So aside from Extreme Sports, we've always been avant supporters of Lifestyle-Style. When I say that, I mean hip hop, streetwear, chill/laid back, look good just to look good lifestyle. There are plenty of people who rock what they rock because it defines their lifestyle of just being stylish. We've always hit that crowd, and pushed in that direction to include those fans in our demographic. Now, however, we have signed a sales rep on the East Coast who has specialized in the streetwear market for 30 years. He's good at what he does and I believe that you'll all be seeing Elevated Clothing and Kavadba Clothing having a lot more influence in the coming year as we relate to the Street Wear crowd. Keep your ears open!!
Check out this new artist I found on Youtube. His name is New Kid. Pretty sick style.

Arizona Big Surf/Wakeboard/Skate Competition
Yep, we're headed out to AZ again!! Going to see all of our good friends in the wake community out there. Check out the event on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/elevatedclothing.
If you happen to be in the Southwest of the US around this time, come check it out. Yes, Arizona does have surfing after all.
I'm stoked, our good friend Colin Pierce, who was an incredible sponsored surfer right out of highschool is going to come out to the event with us and tear it up, riding for Elevated Clothing. Also, the Bad Fathers are coming as well. This is going to be an amazing weekend. Zach and I are trying to get as many people as possible to come with us and join in the fun!

It's been a little over a month since we added anything to the website. Let me assure you that we're working extremely hard here to do some awesome stuff with Elevated and Kavadba. And man are we keeping busy at the moment. All of this being said, there's a lot to bring you up to speed on!
Quick Runthrough: We attended the U.S. Open of Surfing, Sponsored a ton of Wakeboarding Events, Ordered in new stickers and banners from Diecutstickers.com, made tons of sales, and are working on our new Fall release right now, which will no doubt be complete with a whole new website re-design. That's right, this website is going into the archives and we're unleashing a whole new level of steez on you punks. You'll be excited when you see it.
Alright, I want to show you fans 2 things.
1) Zach Block with Kavadba Ent. put together a super cool teaser video of our summer of fun, so I'm going to let you check that out and see for yourselves all of the coolness we've gotten ourselves tied up in rather than explain it to you. See Below!
2) This is a shoutout to our good friend Jon Brown who was a Rodeo Bull Fighter this summer. He ordered in a custom Jerzee and was awesome in letting us put our Elevated Clothing logo on it. I wanted you all to see Jon in action. He's a man amongst boys, a scholar amongst students, a powerhouse of awesomeness mixed with a.... well, you get the point... Many thanks to Jon Brown for his support, and furthermore, many thanks to all of you fans for your continued support of Kavadba and Elevated Clothing. We're stoked to be growing in a down economy and we are proud to have you all rocking our gear! Best of Times..

Japanese Fashion
So it's 12:25a.m. right now, I'm getting super tired but still sitting by my computer slurping down a cool glass of ice..... ok I'm back just had to go kick it with my brother Zach and Russ Whaley the famous Brit (Fathoms Deep, Spoils of War, One Man's Goal) for a sec... water.
I suppose it's a little unnecessary to be blogging this late, I should be getting a proper sleep tonight and starting my day fresh tomorrow, but oh well, gotta keep up the grind whenever possible. I'll finish my topic on Japanese Fashion, finish my ice water, have a couple of laughs with the guys, and pass out ready for work tomorrow.
So a couple of months ago I worked on a music video shoot with the band As I Am. That was my first time meeting them, now they're sponsored by us... check them out at http://www.asiamrock.com
The director/dp of the video and his assistant were Japanese, awesome guys might I add, and naturally we got into a conversation about Kavadba and Elevated, cause of course I'm going to plug it. Daizo Arima, the assistant, mentioned that one of his good friends used to do a lot of sales repping in Japan and had some connections + was looking at getting back into it. This obviously peaked my curiosity. I've been wanting to, and thinking about, breaking into the Japanese Fashion market for quite some time.
I asked if we could set up a meeting, but sadly, shortly thereafter, the tsunami and earthquake shook Japan, and that made trying to work anything out pointless. About two days ago, after talking with Daizo a little bit on facebook, I asked again about meeting up with his buddy. I got a quick response and Daizo had set us a meeting for Monday (today).
Stoked on the deal going down, Zach and I went to meet Daizo and his friend Masaki at Amsterdam Cafe in North Hollywood. We talked a lot about the brands, the clothing, the direction of the company, but most importantly about the lifestyle behind what we do. Because in reality, that is what Kavadba and Elevated are, the embodiment of pursuing your dreams and passions with everything that you have. If you want something, and it's a righteous cause, you go after it with your full heart engaged, and you strive to live up to your fullest potential in everything you do. What is Kavadba... it's living life for a purpose and pursuing it with love, determination, and hope.
Masaki made a really good point about blogging. He said, Japanese people are very inspired. If they see someone working hard, climbing the ranks, and pursuing their dreams, they rally behind that person. I think that really applies cross culturally. We all desire to see those underdogs win who have invested their whole heart and soul into their passion and are making a positive difference in life. I only hope that we can continuously have an impact through our company, through what Kavadba is, and what Elevated is. We live, we love, and we win.
Let's see where this whole thing goes. Masaki's cousin is the gateway, and he could very well be our gateway into hooking us up with sales in the Japanese culture. He's coming to LA this next week, and we've done our best to impress them all. So now we pray, and as we do, I'm continuing to work on our new releases that should be due out in about 2 or 3 weeks tops hopefully. Japan, we're coming for you!

Beaver Lake Wake Fest and Robert Absher of Absher Films
Elevated and Kavadba worked very closely the last few weeks with Brandon Hurst with Beaver Lake Wake Fest in AR. We really wanted to see things come together for them, and we pulled our weight as much as we could, getting them somewhat hooked up with Alliance Wake, Blast Wakeskate Magazine, and getting a few other companies in the mix. While we couldn't personally be there as the brand owners, we had some very cute chicks running a booth for us there, with Brandon overseeing the details. We sent down a few thousand dollars worth of product, and now we're still waiting to hear the final verdict on our success.
It's been a trip getting so involved in the wake scene this summer. We're really pushing hard, and making some great ground. Now we need to continue the momentum and lock down a couple of shops. We've got a great name built up and we're very proud to be where we are.
The AWA wake comps are still going strong at Lake Pleasant in AZ, and we have another big event coming up in mid August with INT League out of Northern Cali. Also, the Bullhead Regatta Wake The Plank event is happening and we're super stoked to see it pop off.
Robert Absher with Absher Films is killin' it for us in North Carolina, and Jes Ann Pelfry out of South Carolina with Windy Moose is pushing hard to keep us spreading there.
We love all of our fan support and are so thankful to have the people rocking us that are. Keep up the Good Life!

Elevated Clothing Sponsoring the Arizona Wakeboard Association AWA Wake Competitions
So we've got the great privilege of working with the Arizona Wakeboard Association to sponsor their entire string of wake competitions this summer. The competitions run from May through August and are composed of Arizona's top outlaws through the beginning wakeboarder looking to get their feet wet, literally.
http://www.theawa.com
We're very stoked to be supporting them and have a whole bunch of unreleased product that we're going to be dropping their way. This weekend actually. I'm personally headed out to kick it on Lake Pleasant with them at Two Cow Cove. Not only am I excited to see the competition, meet the producers and riders, but I'm also looking forward to getting a little taste of what I've been missing since I moved down to California. There's no lack of sun in beautiful SoCal, but there isn't much for wakeboarding and beautiful lakes in LA haha. So I'm going to soak it up, take it all in, and hopefully get behind a boat or cable somehow this weekend. My best bet so far might be with Hyperlite rider Ahren Benziger who I met at the H2X Extreme Indoor Watersports Show in Vegas two weekends ago. I hooked him and his girlfriend up with some product, so I suppose I could as for a wake hookup.
So that's what my weekend looks like. 6 hours of driving to Mesa, AZ where I plan on hooking up with the AWA wake crew, Stephen Jones who is the manager for Tigress, and an old college buddy, Riley Paris.
Support your local, and not so local, wake associations!!!
God bless and Best of Times..
